Elena Offerman

SENIOR THERAPIST


Elena Offerman (she/her), MA, LCAT, RDT,  is a licensed creative arts therapist, registered drama therapist, and EMDR trained practitioner. She works with adults, teens, children, and couples. Elena views building trust in the therapeutic relationship as essential to supporting clients on their journey to fulfillment and well-being. Her approach is trauma-informed, relational, culturally responsive, liberation focused, and affirming. 

Elena specializes in anxiety, depression, trauma, identity development, relationship concerns, and LGBTQIA+ affirming care. She incorporates verbal psychotherapy, creative arts, somatic practices, and EMDR to create individualized care that is tailored to each client’s needs, strengths, and interests. Her clinical style is warm, engaged, and curious.

Elena received her master’s degree in Drama Therapy from New York University. Her post graduate training includes EMDR (EMDRIA), and the Kint Institute’s certificate program in the arts and trauma treatment. 

Outside of the therapy room, Elena’s other roles included educator and researcher. She provides clinical supervision and continued education training workshops, has guest lectured at the graduate school level, has presented at national and international conferences, and has published on her drama therapy work supporting frontline healthcare workers during the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
